SALLR 2020 Live Broadcasts Last Free Demo This Tuesday

Last Free Demo

You are cordially invited to attend the last free demo at 11 am on Tuesday, 19 May 2020.

Why don’t we meet this year as usual?

By the time that the SALLR seminars are normally presented countrywide (August to September), we expect to still be caught up in one of the alert levels of the lockdown or, alternatively, still be subject to severe restrictions on our movement. Furthermore, an extremely important consideration is the health and safety of the SALLR community. We have, therefore, taken the decision to conduct the SALLRs’ 36th annual seminar by means of various live broadcasts this year.

SALLR Live Broadcasts

Studio set up to be utilised during the live broadcasts?

A broadcast studio has been designed in a 100m² studio space that permits the usage, during the live broadcast, of all the elements that you have become accustomed to, such as, PowerPoint presentations, flipcharts and entertainment.

As has been the custom for the last couple of years, Brian van Zyl will again present this year’s SALLR seminar from a lectern. However, as can be seen from the walkthrough video, during the live broadcasts this year, important announcements will be made from a desk area and discussions will be facilitated from a leisure chair area.

Technical support?

Live broadcasting will be achieved by means of streaming. The SALLR team has secured an extremely competent crew, with vast technical experience, to provide the required technical support during the broadcasts. Professional lighting, the utilisation of quality microphones and state-of-the-art video equipment will ensure an enhanced experience during the live broadcasts – we are certain that our walkthrough video https://www.sallr.co.za/news/sallr-live-broadcasts/ already shows you what we are capable of.

By prioritising continuous learning and staying informed, HR practitioners and labour relations specialists can navigate the complexities of the modern workplace, ensuring both organisational and employee well-being.

It is apparent that government initially took the viewpoint that vaccination against Covid-19 should not be compulsory.  However, it appears that the recently-promulgated Consolidated Directions on Occupational Health and Safety Measures (‘the Directions’)[1] signifies a very different approach.

Watch out for the SALLR 37th Annual Seminar this year.
