Lockdown Regulations Unconstitutional

The Pretoria High Court has declared the regulations promulgated in terms of the Disaster Management Act to be unconstitutional and invalid.
The declaration of invalidity is suspended until the regulations are amended and republished with due consideration for the limitation each regulation has on the rights in the Bill of Rights.

It is apparent that government initially took the viewpoint that vaccination against Covid-19 should not be compulsory.  However, it appears that the recently-promulgated Consolidated Directions on Occupational Health and Safety Measures (‘the Directions’)[1] signifies a very different approach.
